Machinery at the Revival!

It’s that time of year again, The crank handles come out, and we wind up into Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show mode!

Also around this time of year is the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival – This event was started way back in 1956,  the Geelong Sprints were founded by Murray Rainey, a prominent identity in the Geelong automotive industry and member of the Western District Car Club. A former F3 Champion (1956-58), Mr Rainey modelled the original Geelong Sprints on the famous Brighton UK Speed Trials.

Keen to promote Geelong, Mr Rainey was also instrumental in offering the local community a chance to see Australian motor sport identities competing in some of the most powerful and exotic sports and racing cars of the time.

Today, the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival brings car, bike, truck and machinery lovers from all over the country and even abroad to the Geelong Waterfront!

We’re lucky enough to have our own little patch of display space at this event on the Eastern Beach Lawn precinct. A number of machines will form part of our display, including a Ballarat built tractor, some classic trucks of yesteryear, a stationary oil engine plus a number of vintage cars!

Be sure to come and join us for an amazing weekend of motoring glory at the Geelong Revival Motoring Festival!

Thanks goes to Belgrove hire for providing transportation for our display!
