Victorian Made Items to Feature at Machinery Show

This weekends Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show has always been renowned for having the biggest and best display of working agricultural and industrial machines from our past, and the weekend of the 11th and 12th of January will be no exception to this. Organises have announced a feature of the event to be Victorian Made machinery, including tractors, stationary engines, implements and collections.

Along with the locally made machines, the show will host the regular fare of Military Re-Enactments and displays, club displays including Meccano Model Club, Geelong Model Boat Club, International Harvester Club of Australia just to name a few.

The Tractor Pull will be a centrepiece of the show with some 70 agricultural machines taking part.

The Geelong Vintage Machinery Group’s own Vintage Machinery Pavilion will house some 17 steam and internal combustion engines, with many of them running.

Show organiser Steven Moore encouraged everyone to attend from all generations, “The Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show has been running for almost 10 years now, and we have pretty much something that will spark an interest in all ages.” He went on to talk about being hands on for the younger generation. “The Meccano Club’s display is brilliant, theres a hands on table for the kids to come and have a go.”

The Show will take place this weekend at the Geelong Showgrounds, Adults $10 and Children under 15 are admitted free.
